Wood Species. All of our bats are premium maple and birch. Most players prefer maple as it is known for being the hardest wood and having tightest grain. Players who order birch typically enjoy the slight flex they feel upon contact. Regardless of wood species, each bat is ink dot tested to ensure quality.
Bat Model. There are several of these to choose from. Each model represents a different way the bat is shaped, from handle to barrel. Most players prefer balanced, however power hitters typically lean towards end-loaded models.
Length and Weight. Players prefer either -2 or -3 weight. Bat weight is measured by the minus or drop weight. Drop weight is the difference between the length and weight of the bat. The bigger the drop weight is, the lighter the bat will weigh.

This look is inspired to embody the look of having your bat loaded with pine tar without the smell or mess.
We as ballplayers know through experience that while the pine tar look is swaggy, comes with some cons. Those cons include the potential to ruin the rest of your gear or other bats; time such as putting it in your bag or resting the bat on your shoulder can get it all over the place without you noticing.
This bat comes in our very popular Tater-271 Pro model. If you are looking for it in a different model, feel free to choose one in our collection and build it using our Custom Bat Builder.
We’ve been dedicating the past few years in searching for ways to provide you guys one of the hardest bats on the market. What makes these bats different from any other bat we offer? Quite a few things. For starters, we source our maple and birch from the best mills in North America. Every bat is manufactured to the highest quality standards. Therefore, regardless if you are an amateur or a Pro the bat is made the same way.
If all the bats are made the same, what differentiates the SVS bats? The coating.
These bats sport the same Big League wood but we've upgraded everything else. High-end paint, process, and finish ensures a whole new experience at the plate. Our SVS coating is a new proprietary finish that not only makes our own bats harder, but distinguishes Tater from the rest.
The SVS Signature Series is swung by our top professional athletes and now we are happy to offer the product to the rest of our Tater Family.
